LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — More than 100 firefighters were deployed to battle a major pallet fire in South Los Angeles.

Los Angeles County Fire Department and L.A. City Fire both responded to the pallet yard at the 1700 block of 57th Street just before midnight Tuesday.

The fully involved fire was heavily burning by the time fire crews arrived.

Firefighters were also forced to work around high-powered electrical lines that went down during the firefight. Some residents were forced to evacuate, but no injuries were reported.

Fire officials say they got control of the blaze in a little over an hour.
