The GSMA has cancelled its MWC Los Angeles event due to the travel restrictions and ongoing health concerns around the coronavirus pandemic. The event was set to take place on 28-30 October. It drew over 750 exhibitors and 22,000 attendees last year, from 100 countries. Ericsson said before the cancellation that it would not be attending.
The GSMA earlier cancelled its MWC Barcelona and MWC Shanghai events due to the covid-19 pandemic. It will be holding a new digital event series called GSMA Thrive, with the first China-focused programme running from 30 June to 2 July.
